I have two Webcams:
* Dericam USB-Webcam , max 1080p/5fps , YUY2 , 16:9 , <720p/30fps
(internal: HDX Webcam USB)
* Smilodon Pro USB-Webcam , max 1080p/30fps , MP4 , 16:9 , JPEG
(internal: Groov-e USB Camera)
The two webcams are connected to the computer via:
MZHOU 7 Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Extensioncard, PCIe Card USB 3.2 Gen1 Card 5 Gbps internal Hub Connect 7 Devices
On this USB-Extension Card are 3 of 7 slots used. Two for the both Webcameras and one for an Tobii Eyetracker.
The Eyetracker is mostly inactive deactivated.
The MZHOU USB Port Extension Card is conntected to the computer via:
ASUS Prime B550 Plus Mainboard (https://www.asus.com/de/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-b550-plus/)
PCIe 3.0 x4 Slot (i mean the smaller slots, not the long x16 and not the x16 4.0 slot)
Both Webcams working, but only single.
If i activate only one of them, no problems. if i deactivate and activate the other, no problems.
But if i activate the second cam, while the first cam currently recording, the second cam Green-LED light up for under a second and than the Green-LED is off and only the red-power LED. In OBS Studio no Webcam Video comes. Also not a blackscreen of the Webcam.
Same behavior if i switch the cams (i mean first activate second cam, and than first cam).
I already checked on Youtube and Reddit for help. A Video where a Creator explains with two separate Scenes, that are loaded in into a new Scene, so that the new Scene has both Cams, are not working at me.
So what is my Problem ?
- Is it a Hardware Bottleneck with the PCIE 3.0 x4 or the USB 3.2 Port ?
- Is it a Hardware and Software Issue caused by one or both of the Webcams ? ( MP4 , YUY2 )
- Is it a Software Issue in Device-Manager / USB-Manager / SATA-Port / OBS Studio Device recording propertis ?
Thanks in advance for help
